Over the past 15 years Opulence Stoves has grown into a well-established wood burning stove company. Remaining true to our founding values of Quality, Affordability, Transparency, Trust and Innovation, we work hard to ensure our ethos continues to be relevant to our customers.
2004 – Cast iron inserts
Classic fireplaces are launched to meet a growing demand from customers for Victorian style interiors. The cast iron fireplaces are based on period originals.
2005 – New showroom
Opulence relocates to accommodate for a planned increase in its product range and customer base. Station Road, Beccles would offer better customer parking and a storage facility for pending customer installations.
2006 – Multifuel stoves
Due to changing customer demands Opulence changes its trading name to Opulence Stoves and secures its first dealership with one of the leading Multifuel stove companies in the country, Clearview Stoves.
2007 – Opulence Stoves Expands
Due to growing geographical demand and its ability to cover a wider area with fantastic local infrastructure. Opulence Stoves relocated to Barton Road, Bury St Edmunds and opened a new shop in Newgate, Beccles to service its existing customer base.
The perfect location became available in Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds. What is now the main hub, with the ability to service all existing and new customers within an hour radius of the shop, the decision was made to close Newgate, Beccles and logistically align all its resources to the new premises that promised a higher footfall.
2013 – Growing Family business
Due to growing demand Jane Van Dijk‘s son joined the family business to ensure it could service its growing customer base.
2014 – Dedicated Warehouse
With Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds dedicated to showcasing its ever-growing product range, a new dedicated warehouse Oakland’s Park, BSE was opened to streamline Opulence’s operations to ensure it could manage its customer orders in the most efficient way possible.
2016 – Showroom Refurbishment
In what had become a rush to market for many new manufactures trying to take advantage of the growing stove industry. Opulence Stoves had taken the decision to represent what it considered to be the best of the bunch. Reducing the number of manufactures on display from 56 to 17, Opulence was able to choose from those companies that offered the best customer service, most secure financial future and quality of product. The intention of the refurbishment was to display a wider range of product from each of its chosen manufactures with over 140 stoves on display.
2017 – 2nd Dedicated Warehouse
Opulence stoves now supports many employees and customers. To help achieve this in the most efficient way possible an opportunity came up to expand into the adjoining warehouse to double its available space. Again, an ever growing customer base meant space had become a scarce resource.
2018 – Secured first exclusive dealership contract
In line with our strategy to concentrate on what we consider to be the ‘pick of the bunch’ in our industry. Morsoe Stoves provided Opulence with an Exclusive Contract covering much of East Anglia. A break away from a number of existing exclusive contracts that would offer a 15/40 mile radius.
